Privacy
A simple disclosure, not a legal filing.
This page exists to say plainly what smalks.com does. It is a short, honest disclosure, not exhaustive legal counsel. If you need something more formal, talk to a lawyer, not this page.
What we collect
If you accept the analytics banner, this site uses Google Analytics to understand site usage: which pages get viewed, basic device and browser information, and an approximate location derived from your IP address. We do not collect your name, email, or any other personally-identifying information directly through this site.
Why
Purely to understand how people use the site, what pages work, and where to improve it. Nothing here is sold or shared beyond what Google Analytics itself processes to generate that data.
Your choice
When you first visit, a banner asks you to accept or decline analytics. Nothing loads until you choose, and your choice sticks: if you decline, Google Analytics never runs on this site for you. You can change your mind by clearing your browser's local storage for this site, which brings the banner back.
This page describes what smalks.com actually does today. It is intentionally minimal and does not attempt to cover data retention schedules, GDPR subject-access requests, CCPA opt-out mechanisms, or other formal legal processes. Questions: access@smalks.com.
